Jennifer Gehl is the author of two books on planetary science that detail the “as above so below” connection to healing the human condition.  The Science of Planetary Signatures in Medicine: Restoring the Cosmic Foundations of Healing, with Dr. Marc S. Micozzi, MD, describes the historic connection between ancient alchemy and astrology to modern medicine.  In The Return of Planet Sedna: Astrology, Healing, and the Awakening of Cosmic Kundalini, Gehl provides a comprehensive analysis of Sedna’s astrology, mythology, and impact on our culture.  As a musician, astrologer, and Certified Acutonics® Sound Healer, her work is dedicated to illuminating the connection between heaven, earth and humanity, and the power of vibration as the root of all healing.

In this 3-hour workshop, Jennifer will guide us through Sedna’s discovery chart analysis, revealing how this planet’s return has had a monumental impact in our world.  From this foundation, we will explore how to interpret Sedna’s house position in clients' charts by analyzing our own chart placements, and discussing how we have experienced this energy in our lives. In addition, we will explore the possible shifts that will take place for humanity when Sedna ingresses into Gemini on June 15.  We will close the workshop by listening to affirmations and frequencies of our current sky that include Sedna’s frequency, together calling in the highest vibration of these manifestations in our world.

Mel Priestley is a consulting astrologer and writer based in Edmonton. She has been studying astrology for many years and completed the Fundamentals of Natal Astrology Certificate at Kepler College in 2021. She has been a professional freelance writer for over 15 years and has written extensively about wine, food, theatre and now, astrology. She currently serves on the executive committee of the Edmonton Astrological Society.

Meaningful Matter: Pairing Astronomy with Astrology
Mars is red and signifies bloodshed and violence; Saturn is the last planet visible to the naked eye and signifies boundaries. The astronomical qualities of the planets match up with their astrological meanings in many ways – some obvious, some surprising. In this presentation, we’ll find out why astronomy and astrology really aren’t so very different.

She enjoys selling her jewelry at the Whitehorse Farmers Market in the summer. She is grateful for the  time spent hiking, snowshoeing or canoeing with Parz in beautiful Yukon nature

Timing of Major Life Transitions With Transits

I want to share in this workshop how I use planetary transits, particularly Saturn and Uranus, to time life changes. I look for hard aspects to the chart angles and to Sun, Moon and the chart ruler first. We will also look at the transits of Neptune and Pluto. I always note any transiting Jupiter conjunctions to the natal chart occurring about  same time to point to any new 12 year opportunity cycle to take advantage of. 

Please bring your charts. I would like to hear any of the experiences you have had with major transits. I immigrated to Canada from the USA when transiting Pluto was conjunct my Jupiter, transiting Neptune was conjunct my Descendant and transiting Jupiter was conjunct my Moon in the 4th house.

In this hands-on workshop we will explore the energy of the Sun & Moon, (both strengths & challenges) by examining the signs and elements of each. I will demonstrate techniques that facilitate the synthesis process by using your own charts as examples. We will then move on to Ruling Planets and explore how they contribute to an even deeper understanding of how these ‘luminaries’ operate within our psyches. We will explore ways to activate these energies more fully within ourselves.

The Great Ingress Decade
The 2020s present a rare occurrence as the three traditional outer planets ingress new signs of the zodiac. In addition, the Centaur Chiron is in midst of its long (versus shorter) zodiacal passages and enters a new 7-year transit. Massive collective trends will shift and force change. These planetary dynamics may cause a knee jerk reaction to maintain the present at the expense of necessary evolution. The resulting discomfort yields chaos until societies adjust to the new impulses of these unconscious/subconscious planets changing signs.

 

Pluto enters Aquarius for the next two decades in 2023, including two retrograde cycles back into Capricorn in 2023-2024. We shall feel the intensifying clash between regressing forces maintaining the status quo and visionary progressives wishing to advance social agendas. Individuals, institutions, and other collective partners and groups may experience cataclysms necessary to rehabilitate their efforts.

 

Neptune in Aries starts a new 165-year zodiacal cycle in 2025 with its ingress into Aries. Religious and spiritual upheavals are initiated. Religious dogmas reap the distortions of their own makings as the veil is lifted. Intensifying climate change events can create confusion and clashes as our human species figures out how to survive together. Any new search to make sense of our existence on the planet now gains momentum.

 

Uranus moves in to Gemini for 7 years in 2025, setting the stage for the great three pattern-makers to harmonize in Air and Fire signs. These active polarity archetypes accelerate our senses and spark new dendrite formation to accommodate technological integration. Machines and AI outpace the masses in a race to expand our minds, and hopefully take our souls along for the ride.

 

Chiron’s elliptical orbit is in midst of long transits, and its 7-year ingress into Taurus in 2026 is the grounding force of the outer planetary transits. However, rapidly changing resource issues may trigger old traumas around survival, both individually and collectively. It will force humanity to look at its resource consumption in a variety of ways.

 

An accelerated evolution is what is ahead for all species on planet Earth. Exploring these new trends will allow each of us to learn to adapt to any necessary changes, and, allows for opportunities to flourish as our soul’s desire.

ASTRODICE WORKSHOP
Get ready for a fun, interactive afternoon working with astro dice in person! This workshop will begin with an overview and review of keywords and themes for the signs, planets, and houses. We will then spend the rest of the afternoon interpreting the dice within small groups. Don’t worry, you will be given handouts to support the process. This will give us all an opportunity to practice astrology and learn to trust our interpretations in a safe, welcoming, and fun space.
